Day Two

My first day at C-PAC exceeded all of my expectations. The "main" speakers included, Marco Rubio, Jim Demint, Dick Armey, Mitt Romney, Liz Cheney, Scott Brown, and John Boehner. However the highlight of the day was when Dick Cheney made a brief appearance after his daughters speech. Marco Rubio turned me into a believer, I hope he can win the primary in Florida, he has a very compelling story. My admiration for Liz Cheney deepened, I hope she runs for Congress soon.

In the exhibition hall at C-PAC, one booth had a John McCain punching bag, so I went and confronted the people to let them know that I thought they were a disgrace. John McCain is an American hero and our Republican nominee in 2008, he should be treated with honor, dignity, and respect. The guy started to list everything John McCain wasn't a conservative on, one of those being foreign policy, I think he knew he made a mistake when he said that but he wouldn't admit it. So I cornered him and kept asking for an example, he eventually walked away mumbling something about Barry Goldwater. Tomorrow I will be wearing my John McCain button all day.
