CPAC Day 1!

So today was the first day at CPAC. I have never been to the conference before but was very impressed. The day started out with Michele Bachmann. Her speech, I thought, went a lot better than I had originally anticipated. Personally my favorite speakers included Mitch Mcconnell, Donald Trump, Newt Gingrich, Donald Rumsfeld, and former VP Dick Cheney. Donald Trump was probably one of the best speeches by far. He came out with confidence and his talk was rather encouraging. He announced that he may be potentially running for 2012, which I think would be really interesting if he did. One of moments that stood out the most was when Donald Rumsfeld received his award for Defender of the Constitution. There was a group of people who booed and shouted at him in a very disrespectful and unclassy way. When Dick Chaney was presenting the award to him one man stood up shouting "war criminal" and another shouted "Wheres Osama." They were of course quickly ushered out of the room. It was definitely a scene and I can only imagine what tomorrow will bring. Until tomorrow.

  1. Disrespectful? Respect is earned, those neo-con, traitors of the constitution, have blood on their hands.
