I have had my eyes and ears on Tim Pawlenty for quite some time now. The former Minnesota governor was one of our speakers this afternoon. I was extremely excited to get the chance to see Mr. Pawlenty. His speech highlighted several key topics in the recent “re-conservatization” of the Republican Party. Pawlenty reiterated that our country needs to cut taxes and slashing, rhetoric that has been the anthem of CPAC 2011. Pawlenty also defended the military and said that he would always support the use of strength to protect our nation, territories, and allies. He even invoked the oft used phrase “might makes right”. Pawlenty also recognized God’s importance to our country and its future. As he put it, “we need to turn back to God, not turn away from Him.” Pawlenty also defended Israel and vowed that he would always support Israel. From these statements, I have determined that Pawlenty has what it takes to be a very viable presidential candidate for the Republican Party in 2012. He is clearly a fiscal conservative. He is pro-defense/military. Pawlenty’s reliance on God and faith highlight his social conservatism. Finally, he is pro-Israel. I definitely want to see Pawlenty run in the Republican primary!

p.s. He doesn't want to apologize for America -- we are too exceptional -- there is no reason to apologize!
