Goodbye, CPAC!

In the last two days I have experienced more things than I can explain. I have gotten in debates with Ron Paul supporters, I have listened to others debate to Ron Paul supporters and I have met and seen more famous people in one place than I thought was humanly possible. Yesterday I got the chance to see how crazy Ron Paul fans truly are. I have never been a person to talk about politics with others because I feel as if I'm walking on thin ice. However, when a person approaches me telling me my opinion is wrong I simply cannot hold my tongue. I find it very offensive to have someone degrade our military due to the fact that my father served our country for over fifteen years. I feel as if people should really think about what they say before they stick their foot in their mouths and make themselves look like a total idiot. This trip has made me realize how much our party; the REPUBLICAN party, is being split in two due to libertarians and their strong belief in their "leader." Also, last night i attended a student reception with Anne Coulter which was pretty cool, and I attended a birthday celebration for Ronald Reagan where two documentaries were shown and a cake made by "Buddy", or Carlos from TLC's, "The Cake Boss," was presented and eaten; I must say it was the best looking and tasting cake I have ever had. Today was also an interesting day. One of my favorite speakers of the day was Andrew Breitbart, a conservative who is leading a powerful uprising in the political movement. I also had the chance to meet Michelle Duggar, the famous mother of 19 children from TLC's, "19 Kids and Counting," and I must say that she was very sweet and kind. I also had a book signed by Anne Coulter for my father's birthday and she informed me that her mother was from Paducah, Kentucky, something that I did not know and I found to be very interesting. To end the day CPAC had Allen West speak, someone that I found incredibly refreshing and charismatic. I might even go so far as to say he was the best speaker I had heard at CPAC. Allen West was an amazing speaker and I hope that when the chance presents itself that he will run for President of our country. Overall my experience at CPAC was awesome and I hope that I get the chance to attend the conference next year.
