Today was amazing. Today was the first day of CPAC and I loved it. The keynote speaker was Michelle Bachmann and I was impressed. She discussed a whole range of issues but mainly focused on how conservatives need to band together and continue trying hard to take charge of political movements. I did not, however, like it when she began discussing the national economy. She provided a poor analogy in an attempt to illustrate the full gravity of the national debt. She just sounded like she didn't know what she was talking about...which she didn't. It was just rhetoric.
I really enjoyed other speakers such as Mitch McConnell, the V.P. of the NRA, and most certainly Donald Trump. When other speakers presented of whom I didn't care about I walked around the exhibits of conservative organizations. I was surprised to see how many Libertarian groups were here. Afterwards, I went and had my picture made with Michelle Bachmann and then she bought me a beer.
Overall the first day at CPAC was a success.
