My First Day In The Busy City

Today was our first day in DC, and I must say it was very eventful. After getting settled into our hotel, a group of us decided to go to the American History Museum and the Holocaust Museum. Both museums were absolutely amazing! This is my first time in DC and I have loved every minute of it so far. The American History Museum was fantastic, I just cannot believe that the majority of our country's history has been jam-packed into one building! Also, the Holocaust Museum gave me a glimpse into such a dark period in history that is at times pushed aside in my eyes. The museum reminded me of how horrific the Holocaust truly was and it also reminded me that we must remember this time in history and not brush it under the rug. I look forward to see what the rest of my trip has to offer!
