Newt Gingrich, true to form, walked into the Marriott ballroom to "Eye of the Tiger," as he did last year. Tim Gilliam shook his hand; they're pretty much besties now.
He talked about Obama's pledge to move more toward the center and defined what the center is. He referred to polls that showed 78% of Americans disapprove the death tax and 54% disapprove of current healthcare legislation. If Obama isn't moving to repeal such legislation, then where is he going?
President Obama isn't going toward the middle. He isn't representing the people. He is a perfect example of the distance between the democrats and the people that encourages the conservative fight for better, limited government representation.
Overall, Newt was a pleasant and cohesive addition to today's festivities and the conference as a whole.
